Raleigh Art Classes for beginners and advanced adults.  Learn to paint Classical Academic Style paintings, portraits, and still lifes.  Learn to paint Verdaccio Underpaintings with Tinted-Gesso, and learn to super-impose colored oils over your underpainting as they did in the Renaissance.  Learn paint history, art history, color application, and Fibonacci's Golden Mean Ratio for Composition.  Learn to create significant art.   Classes held at 103 Nottingham Dr., Raleigh, NC 27606

Adults can schedule classes Thur. 5:30-8:30.  Reservations are required.  Classes for adults are $250 for 12 hours.  2 hr. minimum for each class and must be used within 6 weeks of starting.  $600 for 36 hrs. minimum 2 hours each class and must be used within 12 weeks of starting.   All students work at their own speed and on their own projects.  The first project is an Apple to learn how to paint a 3D object with a light source.  I will supply everything you need for your first painting, then you will need to purchase your own set of Tinted-Gesso $100, which will create 20-30 underpaintings, and you will supply your own paint, canvas and other materials needed to paint.

Ages 7-12 can schedule classes Wed. 5:30-8:00pm, Sat. 1-4pm.  Ages 13-18 can schedule classes Thur. 5:30-8:30, Friday 6-9pm (Teen Night), Sat. 5:30-8:30pm.  Classes are $200 for 12 hours with 2 hr. minimum for each class.  Classes must be used within 6 weeks of starting.  $250 for 16 hours of classes and must be used within 8 weeks of starting.  Classes can be scheduled on different days each week, and students can come twice a week.  I supply everything they need for the first painting, then after that they just need to purchase their own canvas.
