Having a comprehensive portfolio at any age helps a student when applying for special programs in high school and college.  Students will also have an opportunity to enter their best  original work in the NC State Fair as an Individual student in Oct.  Over the last few years our regular students have won 50% of all prizes in their age group.  Our regular students also enter and win other art competitions due to the quality of their craftsmanship.

Our regular year-round classes help students of all ages to develop critical-thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and delayed gratification.  Classical Academic Art helps students learn the logical sequence needed to create a quality project one step at a time.   The number one outcome is helping students to see and to paint or draw what they see, not what they think they see.  Our system is a very Left-Brain system, that uses math, science, and technology.  Students have also used the skills learned in our classes to help improve their grades in school.  Students that include a well-thought out graphic image with their work will increase their grades on projects by as much as 15%.  Just as you are more attracted to products on the shelves by the packaging, teachers are more attracted to projects that are attractive.  Learning to develop marketing and communication skills are also important to successful careers in any line of work.  You may be the best Architect, Realtor, Doctor, Engineer, Video Game Developer, Teacher, or Chef in the world, but if no one knows about it, you won't be as successful as you could be with the ability to market yourself.
